200 years ago (1825) this May, events that would result in the founding, naming and establishment of Ogden Valley and Ogden City were set in motion.
There will be events around Ogden Valley celebrating the bicentennial. Including:
- A Historical Lecture at the Hearthside – Historian and BYU professor Jay Buckley will present on Peter Skene Ogden’s expedition and its impact on the valley’s development.
- Roadside Marker Dedications – Donate to the construction of historic markers commemorating Ogden’s campsites and the significance of his travels.
- Descendants’ Celebration & Registry – A unique opportunity for descendants of Peter Skene Ogden to connect, celebrate their heritage, and be included in a special registry.
